2019 was one action-packed year! Thank you for joining our exciting events and being part of theCOMMONS community. Here are the highlights.
Wild Rumpus Family Celebrations: The festivities were in full swing as families participated in holiday-themed games, story times, crafts, and activities. Spring bloomed during Wild Rumpus: The Egg Hunt is On! Bunny Hop Race, anyone? In October, the festivities continued with the Spooky Rumpus which featured trick-or-treating and a boo-tastic fashion show where kiddos strutted the runway in costume.
International Jazz Day: SNAP! BOMP! BEEDLE-DI-BOP! Last year marked our fourth year of co-hosting the International Jazz Day with Sweets Records. It featured a line-up of both established names in the Thai jazz scene and up-and-coming acts. We turned theCOMMONS Market into a hip, happening jazz venue and projected the show live all around the building. This way everyone on all floors could enjoy the performance together.
Local Goodness Weekend: This weekend gathered Thai talents, craftsmen, chefs, food, drinks, and beautiful traditions all in one place. Local music infused the event, too. We invited everyone to experience local culture and wisdom through fun activities, workshops, dining experiences, and a market where they could browse for unique, local products. It was a heartfelt, cultural celebration for all.
Wellness Day: Relax. Reset. Rejuvenate. Realize. Whether you wanted to learn about holistic options or savor some enriching “me time”, Wellness Day provided the perfect opportunity for self-care. Activities included a dynamic movement class, healthy cooking workshop, facial and eye stretching session, art therapy, flow yoga class, and lots more! Health is wealth. This event inspired us to slow down, be mindful, and take care of ourselves.
Ring In 2020 Party: Happy New Year! We culminated a marvelous 2019 with one crazy, cool party. theCOMMONS vendors served-up delicious food and drinks while special cocktail booths kept the libations flowing. Just add some funky music and fantastic company and we were ready to greet the new decade in style!
